Prospective Senior Pastor Information
So that you know more about us.............
The City of Caldwell, a Texas Main Street City, is the County Seat of Burleson County, Texas. The city has a population of 4000+ in a county of 40,000+. The church was established in 1843, and led by such historic leaders as R.E.B. Baylor, Rufus C. Burleson, and Z. N. Morrell. Today, the church Core Values include the authority of God’s Word, missions, evangelism, worship, and student ministry. During the Intentional Interim process the church restated the need for strong student ministry, improved technology, refurbishing the sanctuary, and vision casting. Currently, the church is directly involved in mission work in South America.
The theology of the church is reflected in the Baptist Faith and Message, and most members are conservative in their scriptural values. The fellowship of the congregation is loving and strong, with no major divisions. The church affiliates with the Baptist General Convention of Texas, the Southern Baptist Convention, and the F.I.R.M. Associational Area.
Pre-Covid, the average worship attendance was 165. The 2021 Annual Budget is $500,000+. The church also operates a Christian school on its campus. The organization of the church is traditional and deacon-led, with congregational input and vote on major issues. Currently, the worship services are blended, with hymns and contemporary music, perhaps leaning toward contemporary.
